Polish mountains Bieszczady look most beautiful in the autumn ... Especially when it is a golden autumn. Sunny and warm days in the end of September recall dreams about walking with the dachshunds in the pastures. We knew that we wanted to do in reality! So Aluzja Mru Mru and her son Basim Lizus Maksimus went with me and my husband to Bieszczady. They climbed the tops by their own legs and... were not tired.

They loved long, very interesting walks. Felt well in the meadows and in wild forests.

Both liked the rocks the most. Basim Basim ran on it as chamois. Absolutely did not afraid to fall from it.

Sometimes they stopped for a moment looking at the distance. I managed to take them some portraits.

Soon Basim Lizus Maksimus will be young, 9-months old boy. Today I present some his new pictures. Together with my best friend Dagmara Oraczewska we went for a walk to Old Town in Warsaw with our dachshunds. We took some photos of Basim on the background of the ancient walls.

The second photo was taken by Katarzyna Nowicka in Pola Mokotowskie Park in Warsaw.

Thank both authors of the photos, Dagmara and Kasia, very much.

After many weeks full of rain we had sun today. Together with Karolina Czempas, the owner and the breeder 4-months old long-haired standard dachshund Jansa Vita-Red, we went for a walk in Skaryszewski Park. Aluzja Ani Mru Mru and Basim Lizus Maksimus ran in a wet grass with their new friend. I took them a few pictures – the potraits in profile with wet, disheveled ears.

All three dachshunds were in a good moon and ran a lot. We waited for a good moment to make them all photo on the picturesque lake. Aluzja posed very willingly, so I decided to begin with her solo session and to wait for the other walkers.

I looked around for other models and I heard a splash at that moment. Basim decided to cool off and... jumped into the water. For the first time in his life. He liked to swim very much.

It took maybe a few seconds, when a small Jansa went in his footsteps.

It was necessary to postpone for next time the session of all three dachshunds together, but we were very happy, because our dogs were very happy. I looked at wet little Basim with great pleasure.

Karolina and Jansa, thank you for a nice walk!

4th July 2011
Basim Lizus Maksimus spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Lithuanian seaside.
He really liked the beach and the waves. I presented a lot of Basim's picturest on the dunes last time, so now I put only one his picture with lavender on the boardwalk in Palanga.

27th June 2011
Last weekend Aluzja Ani Mru Mru and Basim Lizus Maksimus spent on my parents' allotment. Alchi very effusively welcomed his family. He took his mother and younger brother to the woods and on dunes. He encouraged the guests to play together, but often stopped and looked at their playing. The dachshunds liked a very very clean sand. Alchi was satisfied that he could make so much fun to his mom and brother.

The heat was strong, and running over the sand tiring, so dachshunds often did take time out to rest and drink water. They relished crisp clean rainwater collected on the sand.

Aluzja was so quick and happy as her sons. You can see the joy and rascality in her eyes.

The way to the dunes was in a beautiful forest. Alchi ran with sticks and provoked a younger brother to play with him. Basim was interested in everything: sampling the taste of blueberries, smelling the moss and fungus mycelium, listening to the sounds of birds, hunting frogs and insects.

The most time the family spent in the garden. Basim Lizus Maksimus liked his older brother very much and tried to ape him in everything. He looked at Alchi reactions in different situations and tried to do the same. They became inseparable.

Running with sticks has become their favorite pastime. Alchi to his astonishment saw that about two years younger brother is not slower or less smart than himself.

On the pictures below, I managed to catch the youthful, curious nature of Basim.

Basim was a great partner for spontaneous Alchi, but after a few hours of crazy play Alchi lying on a grass and looked tired. He wanted to rest. In vain the younger brother encouraged him to play. It remained for him to wait patiently.

Aluzja and Alchi are well accustomed with the lens, so I was able to do them a lot of portraits. Here I present two their photos (Aluzja to the left, Alchi to the right).

From week to week Basim Lizus Maksimus varies greatly. From the puppy he has turned into a young dachshund, and his mouth has got longer. Below six-month-old Aluzja's son portraits.

Yesterday in beautiful old Polish town Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula there was long-awaired meeting of dachshunds from Lizus Maksimus kennel.6-months-old Basim and 2,5-years-old Alchi went to see their sister. Basanti Lizus Maksimus is a very small bitch (weighs only 2 kilograms), but with a great spirit and a very strong personality. Bold, assertive, smart, extremely energetic and cheerful – so you can characterize her in a nutshell.

All three were very happy with their company. First there were races, then joyous jostling and somersaults in fresh spring grass.

Basanti attracted both brothers' attention from the first moment. Especially Alchi much wooed small girl. Nuzzled her, caught, danced... He wanted to be attractive to her.

In the end we had to exclude an ardent admirer from playing and siblings from the litter B could fully express the common frolics – as in times when they were small puppies.

When they were a little tired and at times they stopped briefly, sat down and laid to rest, it was easier to take individually photos to them.

I also took the photos of brothers standing in the grass.

Agata, Paulina and Tomek, thank you for nice walk. We are very happy that Basanti has got such good owners.
16th May 2011
Last Sunday was cold and rainy. It rained from the morning. Basim Lizus Maksimus was bored to death on the sofa. He dreamed about walks in the woods or meadows, but he didn't want to wet the fur. His face betrayed perfectly what a young dachshund thinks about such weather.

Luckily, he was not alone that day. He was accompanied by his friend, Silje Hokus Pokus z Perlowej. They both love to play together, to run in the garden and tousle each other, but on Sunday they fell into melancholy together.

15th May 2011
I put current photos of Basanti Lizus Maksimus. Aluzja's daughter also with pleasure uses the spring sunshine. I send a big "thank you" for those photos to Agata and Tomek Sulek, the owners of Basanti.

10th May 2011
Basim Lizus Maksimus is five months old now. Yesterday, after long rainy days, the weather was very nice and we went for a nice spring walk. Young longhaired kaninchen dachshund was very happy. He was romping about in the grass and it was difficult to take the photos to him, but in the end I managed it.

13th March 2011
Basim Lizus Maksimus spent last week at his second home – in Hokus Pokus z Perlowej kennel. I am pleased to announce that my best friend Ewa Dabrowska, founder of that kennel, is co-owner of Aluzja's son. 3-month Basim integrated into new group of companions: kaninchen longhaired dachshund Wilma, miniature Silje and Fred and standard Empatia and Happy. All six played in the garden, using the first spring sun. They were so bursting with energy that it failed to take the common photo to them. Only Empatia wanted to have a photo with a younger and smaller friend. They liked each other – even looked always in the same direction.

After the play in the garden I took Basim some pictures on the sofa.

Basim Lizus Maksimus is 11-weeks old. It is high time to begin to explore the wide world and put in touch with interesting friends. From yesterday Aluzja's son has a wonderful buddy to play – longhaired standard dachshund Ares Dagi Dog. From the first moment the boys was very loved, they are soul mates. Five times larger than Basim Ares tried to be very gentle and willingly gave his toys and treats to his small friend. Together with his owner Dorota Zabielska, we took the photos of the boys.

What the dachshunds like to do in winter when there is the snow and crackling frost outside? The answer may be only one: to lie on the couch, preferably on nice, soft blanket. Alchi is lost in such blissful laziness now. He dreams about spring. If days become warmer, he moves near Warsaw and spends his time on the allotment.

From spring to autumn Alchi digs the holes, hunts for frogs and small birds, moves cones and sticks, but now must settle for dog-toys, made up of twine, rubber and plastic.

B-litter puppies are 9-weeks old. I tried to take them a photo with their mum. Basanti and Aluzja posed me happily, but Basim slept heavily...

24th January 2011
Yesterday Alchi Lizus Maksimus visited B-litter puppies. First the older brother looked at his small siblings with distrust, but then he wanted to play with them. Especially Basim was very good playmate.

Basanti was watching her brothers high jinks from the side, with a little indulgence.

B-litter puppies are 5-weeks old today. The breeders looking at their puppies often say: „How quickly the time is running out!” Yes, indeed, in the case of puppies time is running especially quickly, they change every day. More about life of Basanti and Basim you can read in chapter Puppies.

Two first days of new year I spent at home and had a lot of time for making photos of 3-weeks old Aluzja's children. Basanti and Basim grow healthily and their mother delights in her parenthood. She likes relax with them in their bed.
