I am so happy to welcome you on my website. I hope, that at least, somehow, I will succeed in sharing my passion to dachshunds, my fascination with dogs in general, with their unique personality and beauty. I am pleased to host both: breeders and people who have just got interested in cynology and are looking for a dream friend on four paws.
In case of dachshunds, the better you know them the more in love with them you are and you don’t want any other breed. It also happens that we simple are head over hills, charmed with them at first sight. That was my case. When I was eight years old, parents of my friend brought from Czech Republic a standard, long-haired dachshund called Dunia. It was then when I realized that it was my dream dog. Unfortunately I soon lost the contact with my friend, and automatically with Dunia, so it took some years before I saw another long-haired dachshund – this time it was miniature.
He was walking on a leash along one of the streets in Warsaw and I, instead of going back home, simply followed him… Ever since that moment I started to pester my parents to buy me one – such a precious creature.
I started collecting photos of long-haired dachshunds, I was drawing and painting these dogs, wherever I could – the biggest masterpiece was on the door to my room, done with crayons. I was reading books about dogs’ upbringing, taking care of them – unfortunately, there weren’t many, and this manual of Lubomir Smyczynski: Dogs, Breeds and Upbringing I almost learned by heart.
My dreams from childhood came true not before I was 17. I was given, then Bejka miniature . long-haired dachshund. Immediately all my family was deeply in love with her. As a result very soon after, two of my cousins bought dachshunds... When at the age of 11 Bejka passed away, it was a traumatic experience for us all.
Six years later I was invited to the International Dog Show that took place in Warsaw. Straight from the entrance I run to the department of long-haired dachshund. The moment I saw a miniature dachshund, that came to me and started to leek my cheek, I was conquered, totally. In fact I ordered from the owner, Ms. Marta Ceregrzyn (who I still feel very grateful for) a puppy… and that’s how after 9 months I become the owner of Ajka – in full Aluzja Ani Mru Mru – the rabbit dachshund.
The tiny doggy happened to be the beginning of the great adventure. With a great satisfaction I realized that nowadays there are much more possibilities to expand my passion for dogs then before. I do my best to make use of them to be able to understand those beautiful creatu- res. As a result I graduated from two post graduate studies. The „Psychology of animals” in SWPS, and the second – „Dog and his role in society” in SGGW in Warsaw. I still participate in workshops and various courses from cynology and want to continue my self-development in that field.
„Dachshunding”turned to be not only a way to join some of my passions such as photography, travelling, psychology, and journalist work... It also gave me the chance to meet many fantastic people.
Aluzja – from a cute puppy, changed into a beautiful dog – successfully appearing on the dog shows, so I decided to start with my own, small dog-breeding. My goal is not to have too many litters, but to look carefully to all dogs marriages. I do want all the Lizuses Maximuses to be beautiful, healthy and happy in manners.
Upbringing puppies and participating in dog shows, is however just a small, additional bonus of my „dachshund” hobby. The most important is the chance to cope with those unique animals everyday.
Dachshunds are extremely understanding creatures, and are grateful for anything that you do for them.
They send away positive energy. Friendly smiles, from passers-by and neighbors, even those, gloomy ones, that are addressed to me, are the best proof.
I wish you all and myself, many dachshund friends.
